I have found that the more I empower my clients with the latest up-to-date, most efficient, time saving, result-oriented information the better they do and the easier it is for them to adhere to their fitness programs. Correct and workable information put into action is powerful.
Here are a few key basics I will share with you. They come from my book, Fit Lean Healthy, 8 Simple Steps. I hope they are of help in your quest for a fitter, healthier and stronger body.
Excerpt From Fit Lean Healthy, 8 Simple Steps
“Now, even if you have been in shape before, the way you get back into shape may have changed, especially if it has been many years since you have been there. So you’ll need to be prepared to make any changes or adjustments to the food, activity or exercise regime that may have worked really well for you once upon a time; possibly a long, long time ago.
“Set realistic and attainable goals. Do not be fooled by any “expert” internet marketer, infomercial dude, hairdresser, magazine editor, journalist or even your best friend. Scientific research has shown that the body can lose up to 1 to 2 pounds of body fat per week, maximum. I have seen this occur when a person has the followings things working together:
- The metabolism has not been retarded too badly by poor health or poor eating patterns (yo-yo dieting plays havoc with metabolism over time)
- The right activity is being done to achieve the stated goal
- The right eating program
- Organized planning and scheduling of food and activity
- Some patience is displayed”
So now you know, there IS a right way to go about losing weight and getting into shape. Don’t be fooled by clever marketing – do it right and you’ll stay in shape and keep the weight off easily.
